| Well, break's over...I had a nice break, it was wonderful to actually SEE my fiancee. I was spoiled, and now it sucks again, I am going to see her like 2 nights a week for the next 16 weeks. Jenny and I were talking in my night class yesterday, and I asked how she did with Nick being away for orientation at PWC for a week...she told me it sucked, she was miserable. I told her that I sorta feel like that now, since I never see Emily other than weekends while I am in class...she kinda stopped and went "Oh, wow, yeah...that REALLY sucks!".
Anyways, so the new semester began - 15.5 weeks, including exam week and break. :P Yes, I am pitiful. I hate it. I hate OU, I hate school, I hate classes. Don't get me wrong, I like to learn. I teach myself stuff ALL THE TIME. I just hate being thrown into a classroom. I hate spending time and money on school.
Enough bitching. ACC411 (Audit) seems OK. I thought Sidaway would be an ass or something, but he seems like a nice guy. He's animated, so at least the lectures' boringness level is minimized. ACC412 (Government/Non-Profit)...well, I dunno what to think of it yet. I have already had Pelfrey twice, so I know what to expect from her. I just need a week or so to see how the subject matter is. ACC415 (Tax) is going to be BORING...Serocki is very monitone and dry. Again, he didn't seem as bad as his reputation. Time will tell with all of them. ACC480 is pretty much going to suck I think, I'll just do what I can to get a decent grade. At least many of these classes don't seem to be problem-based. I like problem-based stuff, but it sure is time consuming. Homework for ACC310 and especially ACC311 took FOREVER. Overall, I think I'll be able to stay on top of this semester. It felt SO WIERD to introduce myself in Serocki's class (he had everyone say their name, major, etc etc) and say "Undergrad Accounting major, this is my last semester..."...I mean, wow. My last semester. That KICKS ASS! I remember fall '03, in ECN303, hearing Byron say "this is my last semester" and being jealous. I remember sitting in MGT435 this past summer ('04) and hearing the kid across the room joke with Willoughby and say "this is it, this is my last class ever". I was even more green, wishing I was in his seat. It felt SO DAMN GOOD yesterday to say "This is my last semester". I already have each week # marked in red on my calendar on the Sunday for each week. This is #16...the "16" figure includes spring break and finals week. 16 more weeks and no more homework. No more tuition - everything I save here on is all for Emily and me! The check I get this week - it's going to be used on our house!
15.5 weeks now Kevin...15.5 weeks. I think keeping focused shouldn't be too bad this semester, knowing that it's just around the corner. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| I think I am getting sick...feels like a sinus infection. I am taking medicine, so I hope I can head it off before it gets bad.
You will, however, not hear me complain - I made a deal with God, that I wouldn't care if I got sick over Christmas break as long as I was healthy for my finals. I didn't get sick all last semester, so no complainin' here!
I'd like to make the same deal for next semester ;) | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| Well, it was a whopping 1* on the way into work….Chris said up at his house, it was -3! Emily wants to go to Greenfield Village tonite, but I am kinda short on cash, and well…today’s high is going to be 17*. So, when the sun goes down, count on it dropping at least 5*…I don’t wanna walk around in 12* weather all night! Ouch!
Umm…other than that, just enjoying break. She graduated on Saturday, I am really proud of her. My fiancée is an Oakland alumni now.
Work’s the same old BS, it’s getting pretty slow and boring as Christmas creeps closer. Everyone is using up the rest of their vacation time, and the ones that come in don’t feel like working. I have a couple of things to wrap up before vacation, but I have 4.5 days to do it, and it should take a collective 4 hours to finish.
This semester came out good. I am more than content. The grades are: ACC310: 3.3 ACC311: 2.4 POM343: 3.2 FIS318: 3.2 CIN150: 3.4
That gives me a 3.12 this semester. I can handle that!
One more semester, and I am D O N E
Well, I suppose I should go look busy… | comments: 10 comments or Leave a comment |

Your Dominant Intelligence is Logical-Mathematical Intelligence |

You are great at finding patterns and relationships between things. Always curious about how things work, you love to set up experiments. You need for the world to make sense - and are good at making sense of it. You have a head for numbers and math ... and you can solve almost any logic puzzle.
You would make a great scientist, engineer, computer programmer, researcher, accountant, or mathematician.

| Yup, got my bonus - same as last year, which I can deal with :). Salaried gets a %, I kinda get the same thing since I am part time hourly. Salary got a decent increase I guess. I'm just happy to have maintained my bonus amount. For some reason, the taxes are less though...I paid about 40% tax last year...this year, about 29%
Cool, means more cash for me!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
So, to top off this day, I plan on going home and taking a nice nap! :D
On a side note, now if I can score above a 2.0 as my overall grade in ACC311, I will be having a very merry holiday! | comments: 7 comments or Leave a comment |
| So, I get an e-mail from my FIS professor...
Now, this class was a PAIN! I know computers, and this was crazy. He gave us questions off the microsoft exams. I scored below average on almost everything. Also, he'd have to give 20-25% curves on the exams just to get the mean grade up to something respectable.
Anyways, without further ado...
3.2! WOOOOOOO! Yeah, that fuggin' ROOLES! I just hope that I passed 311 now. POM and CIN I am not worried about, I'll be above a 3.0 in each. :)
Merry Christmas to me! | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |
| 3.3!!! :) :) :) :)
I am REALLY happy about that, I was hoping to get anything above a 3.0. 3.3 is great!
Let's hope ACC311 came out above a 2.0, and let's hope FIS is a decent (3.0ish) grade. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| dammit, I need to get rid of some of these jitters.
Typically I don't get worked up over school *that* much (at least, little enough so I rarely show it), but this class just intimidates me more than any other class I have ever taken.
I NEED to pass this fuggin' class!
Somethin' tells me I am gonna be workin' that little 10" sub in Natasha on the way to this exam. Loud music + driving like an ass usually makes me feel a little better (don't worry, I won't be too much of an ass).
1 hour till I leave... | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Well, I have to leave for my ACC311 final in like an hour and a half to an hour and 45 mins. I am NOT looking forward to this. I just need a 60% and I'll pass the class. That's all I want. I just want to be done with this bullshit so badly...6 years of school blows :(
This is my 14th semester of college!
I sure hope I can do it, 60%, all I want is a 60%!!!!! | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| I know I haven't been writing in here, I just really haven't had the desire to.
Anyways, let's see...
Thanksgiving was good, nothing truly spectacular, just good :) Emily and I had a wonderful 3 year anniversary. I just cannot wait for April. It'll be SO good to be done with school AND know that in 1 year I'll be married to her!
I think, while I am off of school next month, we will be looking builders for houses, getting in touch with a realtor for land, and checking out photographers for the wedding. I am really excited about this modular ranch we found, I just hope it's feasible. It honestly might not be, and we could be getting excited over nothing. On the other hand, it's a damn nice house in my opinion. One heck of a starter home, that's for sure. I'm waiting on rough quotes/information from the builder and realtor right now.
School's going OK. I have normal classes through Monday the 6th. I have my ACC311 final (SCARY!!!!) on Wednesday night. Thursday, I have my ACC310 final at 8am. I then have POM on thursday at 3pm. Finally, I have CIN150 on Monday, the 13th, at 7:00 PM. I am not really counting that one anyways, it'll take 20 mins and is a total joke. I really can't wait for this semester to be done. I am just tired of it, and I am hoping it'll pull up my GPA, plus it'll make me feel a lot better having my ACC310 and ACC311 grades fixed. POM and CIN, I should be straight on. I don't see why I shouldn't get a 3.0 or better in ACC310. FIS, who knows, he's talking about giving a 20 point curve since everyone is technically failing. I am hoping I can score a 3.0 or above..I know I'll get at least a 2.0, so no real worries, but I wanna pull the GPA up. I expect I'll get a 2.5-2.8. ACC311, I basically need like a 55% or so, and I should get a 2.0 in the class. I'd like to get a better grade, but I'll be satisfied if I can pass. That class totally owns me, I hate it. I just want to get through. I figure that Multiple Choice will be 10%-20% of the exam (MC are all going to be first half material). If she puts 5 questions on there, I need to just get like 3 of them right, and I should be cool. I know the one chapter I should do well on, so that's 20% right there. I dunno, I just really hope it goes smoothly. I think I am going to take off next Wednesday so I can study more. That gives me all weekend, ALL day Tuesday and up until 6:00 on Wednesday to study for the three finals I have next week.
Anyways, should get back to work... | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| ...my brother's Kenwood amp was stolen out of his truck last nite sometime. I came home from running an errand and let him know the rear window was open. Someone opened the rear sliding window, reached in, and yanked the amp out the window.
Why the fuck do people have to steal shit? It's sad, he worked for that amp, now someone takes that away in a couple seconds.
I wish I knew who had done it, I'd stick my tow strap hook into their miniscule ballsack, hook it to his hitch, and rip down my street.
Fuckin' greedy bastards. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| From Dave Hunter's morning report on 89X this morning:
"it's cold outside, going to be cold next week. In fact, it's so cold, Paris Hilton has started wearing panties!"
Anyways, got my class situation fixed. Donna Free told me she'd add me into ACC480 this winter, but that ACC450 would be taught by Dillon this spring. I think Dillon is a great professor, so I was thinking I'd take him...well, I spoke to him, and he informed me that he considers it a grad level class, and wouldn't add any undergrads in, and wanted to give me a heads up - nothing personal against me. I am glad he told me! So, I had Free add me into ACC480. I'll be done in April! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Anyways, that's about it for now. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| ...talking with someone, it appears that ACC480 is only like 5 people. WTF? So, I may have to take ACC450 or another ACC elective this spring. :(
I'm gonna go find out after this class is out (I am in FIS318) | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Randy: "How come there is no PPAP Report on this part? There's gotta be one, what'd you do with it?"
Me (taking the print from him): "This part is from 1992, I was at recess chasing girls on the playground."
Randy: "Really? In '92?"
Me: "Yeah, I was in 6th grade!"
Randy "Oh."
Even funnier when people ask me shit like that for stuff from the 70's, even a couple of times from the 60's. I told them I wasn't even a gleam in my old man's eye back then.
Dumbasses. Blame decades old mistakes on me. Riiiiight. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| ..I am sitting here, eating some pumpkin seeds my dad cooked in the oven. Homemade pumpkin seeds rule!
I am going to get no homework done tonight, I can tell. It's hard to when a 95 lb German Shepherd insists on barking nonstop whenever the doorbell rings.
I am also slightly disappointed - Emily and I watched The Amityville Horror on Friday. It was an OK movie I suppose, I've never seen it. After reading online, it seems the entire thing is a hoax. Makes you wonder though, the family did leave all their possessions. They never even made a single mortgage payment. The Defoes were murdered in the house, but there is no evidence of any other evil acts ever happening in the past, and other people have lived in the house for many years without any complaints, except for tourists coming out and bothering them.
Anyways, Happy Halloween! Kinda nuts, in 5 hours it'll be November...5 weeks of class left, and then exam week. Can't wait! I want this semester to end, and I look forward to spending a month of school-free time with Emily :) | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
